It presents very successfully the links that exist between ancient Greek motives and the forms of the Greek traditional dances in modern Greece. It have been written in 1966 by Dora Stratou the founder of the Greek Dances Theatre that exists up today.

Also it contains mush information about Greek traditional music and instruments as used in the different areas of Greece.
